A recent email pointed out to me that words matter. They do. We are working to ensure the opportunity for youth to grow, the church to serve, and our long relationship with BSA to stay strong.
“Renewing Membership” are the words that matter most right now. All Boy Scout units within United Methodist Churches should make sure their membership is renewed.
To help confirm what has been shared with membership renewal being separated from the former, the online system (Recharter 2.0) has been updated in the submission language.
The new submission looks like this:
If the membership registration was started before Feb. 18th, the wording will still reflect the old language. The above is exactly what the Scout leader is signing off. Please help us to give youth a chance to participate.
